Sarah Rozenthuler is a spiritual educator, professional psychologist and organisational consultant. She combines a contemporary articulation of timeless spiritual wisdom with cutting edge psychological insights to create the A New You workshop, earning it an international reputation. Sarah has co-facilitated retreats with Neale Donald Walsch with whom she trained in 2007.
A Chartered Psychologist, Sarah has worked as a leadership development consultant to large organisations for over 10 years. She holds a first class degree in psychology from the University of Nottingham (UK) and a postgraduate certificate in Spiritual Development and Facilitation from the University of Surrey (UK).
Sarah’s spiritual journey has had 3 main chapters. As a child she had a number of spontaneous mystical experiences which taught her that no intermediary is needed between an individual and God. She was brought up in a large and loving family with parents who were (and still are) devoted Roman Catholics.
As a teenager and young adult Sarah came to question the orthodoxies that she had been taught. As she found some of them to be at variance with her own experience, she gradually turned away from organized religion towards science, psychology and philosophy eventually identifying herself as an atheist. She experienced the freedom that comes from dropping the shackles of religious teachings that feel constraining, restrictive and rigid.
In her early twenties Sarah turned her back on having a good job and stable income by spending 4 years living on the road in Spain. This was life at the edge of chaos: having little or no money, hanging out with weird and wonderful travelers and busking for a living by juggling fire. The big turning point came when Sarah experienced a crisis of meaninglessness and felt devastated that she had burnt all her bridges. She cried out to the God that her soul had known as a child and asked for help. God stepped back into her life in a big way and things have never been the same since!
Having experienced the joy of being found after being lost and of coming into the light out of the dark, Sarah is now passionate about helping others to deepen their journey in faith. She knows at the very core of her being the life changing difference that having one’s own conversation with God makes.
